In just 3 years the Hume Bank City2City has grown to become the largest regional fun run in NSW and Victoria. Held in Albury/Wodonga in February each year, the City2City attracts over 4,500 participants across 3 events: a 10km and 7.5km fun run and a 7.5km ‘walk&talk’.
Participants love the course, which starts in Albury and finishes in Wodonga, taking in both city’s CBDs and scenic parklands, whilst traversing the mighty Murray River and the NSW/Victorian state border on roads not usually open to runners. Musical entertainment along the way creates a festive community atmosphere that makes the City2City a favourite of all who participate.
Both the 10km and 7.5km events offer a fast, mostly flat, on-road course. In 2017 the 10km winner crossed the line in 31.59 minutes.
And not only will you enjoy the run, but you’ll feel great knowing that 100% of your entry fee is donated to the local health service. Albury Wodonga Health is Australia’s only cross-border health service and each year the City2City raises around $100,000 to support the health needs of the large local community.
You’ll come for the run, but want to stay for the fun. There’s lots to see and do in Albury/Wodonga during your stay – enjoy activities on the Murray River or Lake Hume, a day trip to the mountains or wineries and fresh, gourmet food and produce aplenty.
Early bird entry fees available until 31 January, 2018 and this year all adult entries go into the draw to win a $2,000 cash prize. Register now for a fantastic event and enjoy everything the Albury/Wodonga region has to offer.
